Topic: 12v TV Posted: 11 Sep 2017 at 6:29pm |
I want to swap out my 110 for a 12 v. Any ideas about what brand, prices and what to do with the unused TV that came with my 2015 179?
Thanks in advance,

See what people here say about using a cheap (less than $39) inverter to convert 12v to 120v. The draw on your battery will be a little worse than if you had a 12v TV, but maybe not enough to matter.
If you end up with an extra TV, you must have a place in the kitchen, basement, bedroom, somewhere you can use it. Or a friend who'd be happy to have it. Or Goodwill.

Don't bother with swapping the TV for the sole purpose of going to 12V and just add an inverter. Just about any inverter will do; the factory TV only pulls about 17W.
12V TV choices are extremely limited whereas 110VAC choices are abundant.
