Hello, We just completed a 1600 mile 6 day trip with our R-pod 179 pulled by a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 3.0L Diesel. From southern Idaho to Vail, CO. Lots of passes and windy roads.  No complaints with the Jeeps power, but the trailer does sway and bounce a bit.  The trailer came with a Husky Sway Bar which helps the sway a bit, I am thinking of either adding Firestone type air bags to the rear coil springs or a complete 2 bar stabilizer hitch. I would appreciate comments on which way I should go. Thanks Mike

With a Grand Cherokee, I'd be more tempted to go to a WDH with anti-sway. It'll help with both the sway and the bounce.

We tow with a V6 Sorento with WDH with anti sway. Never get any sway, plus it helps keep my "not truck based" SUV and the Rpod more level for towing. We do not put much cargo weight in camper and never any fresh water (36 gallons equals 300 lbs), which turns into 600 lbs up and down hills. I am very aware of fact the trailer axle is only rated to 3500 lbs max...underspec'd like many of the components, to keep weight and cost down on these full featured units.
