I had problems with mine once in a while even after clearing the lines (by lighting the stove, which was just ahead of the fridge). The fridge uses very little gas so it is possible yours just hasn't cleared the air out of the line yet. If you've tried 2-3 start cycles in a row and still nothing, then it is time to check the orifice and chimney.

Ditto Doug's post. I had that experience recently with "Phoebe" and it took hours and perhaps 5-6 light-off cycles to get the refer running on gas. Since then - no problem. I believe the issue is simply that it uses so little gas that any air at all has to be cleared before a successful light.
