Hi All,

We just bought a 176 with the bunk beds. In looking for rv bunk bed ladders, I see they are about $100 or so and up here in Canada. Anyone build one? Suggestions? It would be for our little kids.

Thanks!

I haven't made one yet but it's on the list of mods.  We just picked ours up this spring too and the little guys can't quite make it into the bunk without a boost.  I'm going to just buy some 1x2 Poplar from Home Depot and try to stain it to match then use metal "L" brackets to secure it to the upper and lower bed rails.

I don't know how old your kids are but this works for me, it's easy to get into top bunk, slides from side to side, you can remove it store in bathroom, put your stuff on when showering or use it as a seat.
If you want something done right, do it yourself.

Nice stool.  I'm youngest is 6 but he is small for his age. I have to pick him up to get him in the bunk.  I guess it's not that big of a deal.

Thanks for the replies. My little guy is 4 years old and full of energy. Of course he wants to sleep in the top bunk and do everything by himself :). I'm concerned about the morning or middle of the night if/when he tries to climb down on his own without a ladder. He's pretty little and I worry he'll fall.
