The time has come! We finally purchased a camper and we made the choice of going with the R-Pod! First we were looking at Sprinter vans and some other eco-trailers but the price point and design of the R-Pod sold us. Our local dealership wanted $19,995 for a brand new 2017 Hood River 179 so we were thinking about going used. But I found a dealership in NorCal with crazy prices. Toy Hauler Liquidators ROCKS. They are an amazing company and ask for Oscar if you're looking to buy a new R-Pod. We were super skeptical about purchasing from a random dealer 930 miles away but bit the bullet. We made the decision 7/8 to purchase and the trailer will be arriving today 7/14!!! We are beyond excited. Big smile

We don't know much about the trailer at all but will be taking it on a short trip next week. Then to the Gorge at the end of the month. I love looking at all the modifications people have been doing and can't wait to get started on my own.

So far we've bought:
- WDH with Sway Bar
- Briggs & Stratton P2200 Generator
- Full trailer cover
- Dome Tent
- Tire covers

and I think that's about it...

Thanks for the add we are excited to be a part of the community. I will post pictures tonight once the trailer arrives!!

Enjoy. The 179 has a really nice floor plan and lots of room! We really enjoys ours!

You might consider a fan/vent Max Air plastic cover. With one you could leave your vent open and not worry about a storm while you're away.

Thank you all! Last night was crazy when it arrived and taking it to the parking spot I rented.. I'll have pictures of it soon.

I will definitely look into the vent cover. Everyone's help is much appreciated!

Which model cover? The original, MaxxAir II, or Fanmate?

Picking up my new 180 from Toyhaulers on Friday!! Yes, that place rocks! Well worth the drive from San Luis Opispo. They had over forty R-pods in stock and we had 6 180's to choose from. I also cant say enough good things about them, from knowledge to inventory.
