Just had to pull harder, Techntrek - I'm always afraid of really yanking on plastic with tabs holding it in place - have too many loose lids, etc!!

Yes, I did it not too long ago to clear out the dead bugs that were accumulating on top of the screen. I think I just had to pull it downward.

Can one remove the 'fantastic fan' screen? It has a finger place, but it won't bugde.

Thanks Diane, I took mine off but kept it to look up those cleaners in the house then I promptly lost the sticker (somewhere!) All I could remember is that the name started with "D".

Chuck, as far as cleaning products for sink and shower, rv stores such as Camping World have cleaners for RV plastics. Thetford makes quite a few of those.
However, there was a sticker on the bathroom sink of my R-Pod 177 with a URL from the manufacturer, Duoformplastics.com with instructions to go to that link to find the recommended brand and type of cleaning products found in your local stores for cleaning the sink and shower surround (as well as products to NEVER use). Here's the proper URL for that:

Lighter fluid (like you put in Zippo lighters) works like magic at removing stickers and their residue without leaving anything oily behind!

Something else that gets sticker residue off is denatured alcohol, plus it gets permanent marker off in 2 seconds flat. You can buy it in the paint supply area in Wal-Mart and Home Depot. I keep a gallon around for my backpacking stove, marker, and sticky stuff. All it is, is 95% ethanol and 5% methanol to make it poisonous (so you don't have to pay alcohol tax on it). If you have any grain alcohol or high-proof vodka around you could try that... its just a little more expensive.

Try good ol' WD-40 (for the sticker residue). I spray a small amount on a rag and wipe. It's works on a lot of stuff, tar also.
When the gunk is gone, you'll want to wash the area with general cleaner, as the WD leaves a slick film.
