Calendar Event: Rpod 178 slideout Posted: 04 Oct 2014 at 7:05am |
The 179 has a completely different slide mechanism with 4 motors. Swintec I think. All others have one motor.

Yes, that is my understanding. The ratcheting indicates the slide is fully out or fully in and you don't want it anywhere in between.

Our 182 does that also. So, the wratcheting sound at the end is ok? I thought it sounded bad, so we just let it come in and stop it. Are we supposed to hear that noise as notification the bottom is being brought in?

Confirmed, during my walk through the RV tech retracted the slide and I observed outside and in fact, the top does hit first, then it draws the bottom in. Markie, thanks for posting this...good to know!

Answered on the other forum but this is normal and the way our slides work, they are one track so they are going to go back and fourth and then click click click at the end once both top and bottom are fully retracted or extended.
Unless you have a 179, they have a different slideout completely.

Thanks for the replies. Does anyone know if there is an adjustment if I wanted to try to straighten the tracking?
