That isn't a breaker, it is the on/off switch for the electric element. Since it is so hard to get to, many leave it on and then use the breaker that controls the 120 volt electric element, which is mounted on the converter inside the pod.

Ok, thanks for all the input. Here is what I have found out so far.
I believe my circuit board for the gas side of the heater is bad. I found ( had no idea it was there) a small breaker switch on the bottom left of the furnace that was cotter pinned in the off position. After speaking with an RV repair person, he said that the breaker runs the electrical side of the heater and that if I turn the breaker on, the heater will work. I have turned it on and can hear the element heating. Will have to deal with the circuit board issue when I get back home. Third night on the road and twenty one left!! Will keep you posted on what happens.

Look for wasp nests or leaf cutter bee nests around the gas orfice. Or on the pilot light. On a previous camper we had a wasp nest the size of a large grapefruit in the furnace.

Correct. It will time out and the light will stay lit until reset by turning the switch off and back on. |

Probably just air in the gas line. If you didn't when you set up, always make sure the valve is open all the way and purge some of the air in the lighting both stove burners for 15-20 seconds.
Not 100% on this but after the burner tries 3 times to light it may time out for a while. |

This just baffles me. The only thing common to gas and electric is the water flow. I don't think there's any electrical or control common between the electric element and the gas burner. You say everything was working last week, so what was done between last known working and now? Have you checked the bypass valves? If they are in bypass mode you will get cold water from the hot water taps. Check the wiring in the WH access compartment. Anything knocked loose when you replaced the anode? I think the red light on the propane side switch confirms 12V on the heater, but check WH 12V fuse just in case. Check WH 120V circuit breaker. Turn off, then back on to confirm. Verify the small black rocker switch on the heater itself is on. If the red light stays on the on/off switch must be turned off, then back on to recycle the counter. |
