Welcome, jnsluft!

As long as you make sure to tap into the supports I don't see why you couldn't add something above the dinette on the 177.  Just attaching it to the wall won't work.

We have decided that our new camper will be an r-pod.  We've seen most of the models and pretty much decided between a 172 and a 177.  We have to decide who gets to sleep on the table.  Mom and dad, or the 6yr old.  Our daughter really likes the bunk beds in the 172, and it would make sense if a second child comes along.  The 177 would let us sleep on a bed, and make the kid sleep on the table.  But then there would be no room for a fourth person.

So, as my questions asks, what could be done, if anything to make a temp or hinged bunk to be placed above the table area?

Thanks,
Shawn
