The hybrid models came out later, just like the slide-out models came out after the original line came out. They announced the slide-outs the week after we signed for our 171. We might have gone for a 177 (same layout) otherwise. Its likely it wasn't out yet.

I was poking around on the internet yesterday and was looking at the floor plan on a RP-181G, it seems to have a perfect layout for 2 old campers like Donna and Myself. Actually I am older than her by 2 years but I look younger, dont tell her I said that. anyway is the 181G a new floor plan, I think I would have bought that instead of our RP-172, I like the 172 but the 181G has the little eat in area on the left as you come in, the queen to the right and the slide out on the kitchen, and then the garage/Cook out?Hang out/clean fish etc. I guess if we ever get grandchildren the 172 would be better due to the dual bunks plus the dinette that makes a short queen. Man I like that 181G though.

Also, welcome!
I agree with the others.....it sounds like a fair price to me - if in like new shape.

I think the 182G is just about the most expensive one they have, and that looks to me to be a fair price for a used one if it's in great shape, and you know the history..

Welcome. I believe that is a good price for a 182G, I would expect a 171 of that age to go for about $10-11k. You are right that there aren't many out there for comparison. |

So my wife and I have owned a old school BASE pop-up for years. No heat, no A/C no plumbing no anything, just a tent that's a pain to pitch! Anyway, we've been casually looking at options for a while. We have a kindergartner that want's to camp constantly now. My wife has been somewhat reluctant because of the drawbacks of the popup. Enter, friend with too many toys and the desire to hid himself of his 2011 182G. . . he's offering it to me for about 12K, it's in like new shape. I'm not able to find much in the way of used 182G's for comparison. Basically, I'm pretty sure that's a respectable price but what are your thoughts? You guys have a lot more experience than I in this sort to thing.
Thanks for the input!
Hopefully soon to be new owner of a 182G!
