We usually run a "white noise" generator app on one of our phones. It helps cover the furnace noise. In addition, I have a fan running to help circulate the heat so it doesn't build up so much under the bed. That also helps cover the noise. Third, my CPAP machine also helps. On our first big trip over Christmas, after the first night, we really didn't notice the furnace cycling on and off. Like the person living next to RR tracks, you get accustomed to sounds and start to block them out.

Coldest we've taken our 177 to sleep in was 22 with at least that much wind blowing as well.  Set the thermostat for about 60 and while we did keep warm, the floor was rather 'cool' and the furnace ran a lot during the night, guess I should have had ear plugs as you all know it is rather noisy when running.

I use a propane Buddy heater in my shanty. Usually works really well! Hada nasty wind coming straight down the lake.

Ceramic heater kept my 171 at 70 F at 10 F outside.  No slide so fewer air leaks and a smaller area to heat.  The propane heater has a lot more BTUs so I'm sure it would keep up at -15 F.
