Thanks for all the info.  So there will be a power cable that comes with my pod?  
And I'll need an adapter to plug it in to a house outlet?  Is this a cable like you're describing?

Also, I'm getting some grief from a friend that they don't think I'd be able to set up and take down 
my pod on my own.  Are there other women podders out there that have taken trips on their own?

Aye, mine is the 13.5 Dometic and still does just fine, with the fridge too even.  Just turned them both on this morning to get ready for our next trip.  Just nothing else past that.  When we vacuum inside we have to turn off the AC.

I agree with kymooses.  My A/C runs fine on a 20 amp circuit.  But, mine is a Coleman 11,000 BTU unit, while most are 13,500 Dometics.

You don't have to have 30 to run your AC, 20 will do just fine depending on what all you try to run.  We do our fridge and AC on our 20amp in the garage with zero issues.

We have a back-up camera in our TV but we can't see the hitch ball in it.  I normally hitch up alone and use the tennis balls on magnetic bases.  They work very well.  If you want a bargain, look them up on eBay.  I paid under $9.00 including shipping.

No such thing as a stupid question.  You can get a 15m/30f adapter and run power to your Pod via your existing RV power cord.  Now you can't run everything in that situation, but depending on your setup at home and where you plug in, plenty of us are able to run our AC and/or Fridges to cool things down before a trip via our garage outlets.

We have the P2, it does what it's supposed to do and does it reliably for 3 years now.  Dunno what more could be said about it.  Easy, simple. works!

Winterizing.....meh, until it falls below freezing and stays that cold for a few days consecutively I wouldn't rush into winterizing.

I would recommend the Prodigy P3. All digital menu driven. I started with the prodigy voyager and didn't like it. Wife convinced me to install the P3 and I love it. Easy to mount, adjust, and monitor operation. No leveling. Works great. Be sure and order the adapter harness for your vehicle.
