I removed mine and replaced it with a regular roof vent.  I searched and found the info I needed when I did mine.  You need to put in a simple thermostat to run the furnace

We special ordered ours back in January 2011 w/o the A/C unit, something we have not regretted; normally boondock and camp in the colder months or in the Rockies.  Anyway the dealer installed a basic roof vent that opens manually like the fantastic fan.  Works for us and lets a lot of additional light inside.

I'm interested in any tips from anyone that might have have already removed their AC unit off the roof what vent or dome that they would have used in its place. I have a 2010 RP177 for reference.
