Go up to the thread called creating an instruction and maintenance manual and then scroll down to slide outs.  There is good information there.  But for a quick answer there is no hand crank. There is a box located underneath and behind on the wall with codes that you can reset to get it to work or else there are screws to take off that allows you to just push it out or in. We printed out the manual and keep it in the RPOD in case the slide out gets stuck.  Just read the posts you will find everything you need

Does anyone know if the 179 has a hand crank if the motor quits. Thanks Bill
