Okay, got the picture now Sandy. I guess now its a matter of measuring what would fit in and then finding one to fit. My recommendation is to go to a large furniture store that carries allot of futons and you maybe able to find someone to help you find one that fits the bill since they should have catalogs of what furniture manufacturers make in these.

I should have given more details.  On the Facebook page there has been a lot of people switching out the dinette with a futon in the 180.   If needed, you can remove the futon and put the dinette back if you want to sell or need the dinette.   We never use the dinette and actually find it a bit uncomfortable. Many people use the the futon from Walmart and make alterations to it so there is not permanent changes to the dinette seats.  I would post a photo but can't figure out how to do it on this site.

1st major purchase for our SPODtaneous was a new mattress for the bed!

In agreement with DavMar.  If I understand your post correctly go and replace that junk mattress.  We did after sleeping on it 3x.  Replaced with with a Euro mattress.  Still as comfortable now as when we purchased it nearly 7 years ago; you won't be disappointed.

We have a 180 Pod too but I'm a bit mystified by what do you mean making futon modification? Can you post a link of what your looking for? How you would turn the bed area into a futon is beyond me. If you don't like the mattress you can always upgrade or add, like I did, a gel foam mattress topper.

I have seen many people put a futon in place of their dinette in the 180's and desperately want to do it in our 2016 180 before we go on our 1st long trip!  They all seem to use the Morgan Faux Leather futon from Walmart and hubby is not a huge fan of the leather look. Has anyone used a different futon?  Walmart also has some cloth arm less futons with memory foam that look like they would work.

Any help to avoid me having to do extensive research would be AMAZING Cool
