Not familiar with your vehicle but my Jeep Unlimited pulled great except on hills. It pulled but turned a lot of high RPM's. HP 285 and torque 260.

I did not want a full sized pickup so I got the a '17 Colorado Crew Cab Z71 Off Road setup. It has 308 HP and 275 ft-lb torque. Has the trailer tow package with switch to engage the tow feature. I have yet to tote the pod but I can tell it is more powerful that my Jeep.

Traveling in Kentucky is where I really noticed the HP and torque concern. Long hills and some fairly steep.

Hello guys,

This is my first post here...:)

I currently own a BMW X3 (2016) with a small 2.0l diesel engine, rated at 180HP and 280lb-ft. It is also rated to tow up to 3500lb, but BMW doesn't really publish any other numbers.

Given this, would I be able to tow RP-171? It's UVW is 2342lb, CCC is 900lb, so at least on paper, it should be doable but a real-life experience is something else...

X3, for a compact SUV, is relatively big and it has one of the longest wheelbase within that segment, if that helps.

I prefer not to change the tow vehicle if at all possible, since it is just one year old but the urge to camp with a trailer is taking over the better side of me... LOL
