One of the best ways to prep the existing sealant is to use denatured alcohol. It really takes all the road grime off. That was the recommendation on the Dicor tube. If you happen to slop some in a place you would rather it not be, you can use mineral spirits to remove it. Don't use mineral spirits on parts you want to keep though. Mineral spirits will not damage the fiberglass gel coat.

Just in case anyone is wondering about Sealant color: 2018 Rpod 171. (Gray Upper, Blue Lower)
Even though I am under warranty, I thought I would address some very minor cracks in my roof sealent at the top of the spoiler and around the tank vent. I was concerned about color, but I got the Superflex Self Leveling (Gray) at camping world, and I would say it matches pretty well. It is a bit lighter than the stuff already there, but overall I would imagine close as you can get. It has been raining, so I just wiped the spots with a microfiber and plopped it on. I will check in a few days to see how it held up.
