Thanks for the reply SC - I think I'll stick to bottled/jug water and antifreeze in the gray and black tanks - cumbersome, but safer!!!!  No water in the lines!!!!  Will blow them all out this weekend.

Be well, and safe.

Don't know how long you are going to be hooked up to city, but if it is freezing, your hose will freeze. Real problem with mobile homes. You have to let it run, or cover with a heat blanket, or foam insulation covers used for water pipes used in crawl spaces. I use to put a skirt around my mobile home to stop cold air from under the home. Ground wouldn't freeze, and neither would the water line. Outside, I had to put a covering around the water line. I'm in or near Charleston SC, and it will freeze once and a while. Good Luck and have a safe trip.

Thanks - we're going to be camping in near freezing temps over Thanksgiving, and I was wondering how risky it might be to use city water, and dump a gallon of RV antifreeze in the gray and black tanks.  Guess I need to reconsider  using the city water - and use jugs for drinking, washing hands and the toilet - but I suspect using the antifreeze in the gray and black tanks will be OK.

It will automatically fill the water heater.  And yes, prevent with the bypass valves.

My brand new rPod 178!

If I'm on city water, will water automatically go to the hot water heater/tank, or just into the cold water taps?

If the answer is yes, I guess the only way to prevent that is to use the bypass valves around the hot water tank, right?
