My answer would be OK to both, this is how I do mine:

I also store mine at house. I have powered applied to keep battery charged and run fan or heater as appropriate.

When in full storage I do not leave slide out, if you look at bottom of slide from inside, on mine I can see daylight. Which means rodents or bugs have easier access. I do use prevention for both, but know it is sealed when slide is closed.

My 179 will be stored for short times, maybe a month at a time, on a pad I built next to my house.  
The trailer is covered.

My questions are:

1. Is it OK to let it sit with it plugged in to 120v 30 amp power?

2. Is it OK to let it sit with the slide out?
