ArtyPod: I haven't done this mod yet (so many others first!).   I want to, just would rather have a shop make the connections and haven't had time to get to one.

My 179 came with a quick disconnect. The POD has a regulator and so did my gas grill. Will not work. Two regulators cut the pressure way down. I purchased everything to tee off before the regulator and still maintain the regulator for the POD. I have not made those mods yet. I am planning on adding a 2nd tank and will do it then.

I went to Mutual Propane, they had all the stuff I needed and made the hose to the length I needed.

Thank you Marwayne!!  Is what I'm looking for.  If I could ask a few questions:

Did you cut/make the flex out to the quick fitting?  Or did you find one the correct length?

Do you have a recommendation for place to purchase (if not Amazon)?  We have a fairly friendly plumbing warehouse nearby... I might find the fittings there?

Thanks again.

I used a flex hose and added a second regulator.

I would like to add a propane quick disconnect, installed on the door side of my 178.  The link below shows what I'm hoping to install (or similar).

I want to tie into the low pressure side and I know my grill/firepit needs to accept the low pressure (not have its own regulator).

The propane line going back to the hotwater heater is accessible on the slide side.  Just after the axle is a connector from flex to rigid that I could change to a T.  It is in the perfect spot with a direct shot between the water tanks to the door side.

While I understand the mechanics (and use of yellow tape, etc.), I'm unsure of the best hose (flex or rigid), connectors to use.

I've searched here for propane, quick, connections, etc.  not finding any posts.

Anyone done this and have suggestions?

Thanks!!
