I cut a hole into the wall, glued some 1"x1" around the perimeter of the hole, ( by the way the cut out serves as the back of the cabinet ) Once I built the cabinet I cut a dado around the outside, there I inserted 1/4" x 1 1/4" strip of wood. If you look at the pic see the little buttons that is where it is screwed into the wall. By the way the cabinet is sunk into the wall by about 3 inches.

Marwayne, that looks awesome! How did you secure it to the wall?

Thanks, D.

We use a wall mounted hanging shoe storage pocket  unit that has a lot of clear vinyl pockets for shoe storage.  We found it at walmart and cut it to the size we wanted.  We screwed it to the wall and use it for tv remotes, glasses, insect repellent, sunscreen, etc--anything light and small enough to fit in the shoe pockets. We have 8 pockets available.

It gets all covered by the water proof shower curtain.

I have been thinking about getting rid of the wall pockets in the bath of our 179 and replacing them with shelves of some sort. I really don't like the pockets, but have not yet figured out how to replace them with something better.

I feel the urge to do another mod coming on.
