Jato, my new pump was a SHURFLo 4008 101 E65 3.0 Evolution, I bought mine on sale at Camping World but Amazon has them. It's been awhile.

:) - Interesting - I had to change my pump recently and was surprised at how quiet my new pump is. Things are looking up. See if it gets louder when leak is fixed.

Funny thing is the pump in my 179 is dead quiet - used to noisier pump so I didn't hear it or I would have immediately known something was up. Pulled the toilet to get to it (not hard to do) as I can't imagine getting my big hands back there to work on it.....

Yes, the pump was running (did get a workout!). Looks like the valve had sprung a leak. Didn't overflow the toilet since the leak was on the back of the toilet, with water running to the floor then down the shower drain. Got the parts, now out to fix it.

Is the water pump running? The pressure device in the line from FW tank to toilet is the pump, I guess water could flow from FW tank to toilet, seems odd without water pump pressure.

Aha!, the mysterious pile of towels. Hope you get the valve fixed without too much hassle. Did it overflow the toilet? If my wife caught me with that batch of towels, we'd be on our way to Costco to get some new ones and she wouldn't even let me wash the old ones in the washer to use as rags. I'll bet your fresh water pump really got a good work out.
