I haven't done the replacement yet but when I do, I'll let everyone know.

My wife and I are thinking of doing the same thing. How about the jet engine? Is it better? And how much did it cost you?
Thanks for the info.

I just replaced the A/C unit with a Coleman Mach 3 plus 13.5K BTU after the Dometic died.  The Coleman went in without issue into the standard 14 X 14 inch stand hole in the roof.  Hope this helps.

I'm considering removing the 13.5k btu AC and installing a 9k btu AC (coleman polar cub).  Why?  To reduce the jet engine sound coming from the current AC.

Anyone know if they both have the same size hole, gasket, etc?
