They do hold the bit really well.

Almost too well. Sometimes, I practically have to pry the screw off the screwdriver.

In the video on the webpage the author covered how he was sensitive to noise and dynamat allowed him to meet that need.

As to the pry bar, it might be excessive, I chose an old 12 inch one I had instead.

SoI'm a newbie to camping with a vehicle.  I do firmly believe in portable tool kits and being prepared ( I used to ride BMW's).  That list looks a little extreme to me.  Cable, wire, pry bar, Dynamat?  I can see having that stuff at home for major work, but on the road?

Yes, Jim, Dayton (Sutro) is at the outlet of the drain for Virginia City, but at least we have 2 stop lights now and a real supermarket.  Wink  .... oh, and I forgot to add:  The best sewing and alterations shop west of the Mississippi.

Sub, can I have all your old Roberts #2 screws?

"I guess the square drive allows more torque.  And they're all #2's?"

They come in #1-#2 or #3 that I know of there may be more sizes that are bigger but not likely you would ever need one.    Square drive don't slip out of the screw as easily as Phillips when power driven so that is why they use them.

If you go to the store and get one of those 10 in 1 screw drivers likely it will have all the bits you need for your pod.

Robertson = Square Drive  you will need a #2 size

Huh.  I haven't looked that closely yet.

I guess the square drive allows more torque.  And they're all #2's?

Jim -- We're neighbors.  We're at the other end of the Sutro Tunnel.

I did notice that!  I figured we would run into each other sometime.

The problem with being at the downhill end is that it all runs downhill!

Oh, and if you read the Dayton paper:  the Maze of Twisty Little Passages is my column.
