Oops. I was trying to find a logical explanation, but I guess it's back to DavMar's: Gremlins!

When you say you plugged your phone into the "USB charging port", do you mean on the radio/DVD player?
I don't think the USB port is intended to be a charger. When you plug it in, it starts looking for audio/video files and cuts out whatever source is playing.
But on mine, when it doesn't find anything, it restores the FM which was playing before I plugged it in.]

This is correct, that IS NOT a charging port. It is a data port only, and the reciever assumed you wanted to use data from that source.

On my 2019 171, I noticed something odd and unexplained while watching tv...When I plugged my cellphone into the USB charging port, I lost my tv channels. And as soon as I unplugged the phone my channels came back. So I plugged my phone into a regular charging cube and the tv kept the channels? I always use the booster button, which does seem to help getting more stations. I can’t believe there could be interference, but it must. Anyone else notice this?
