Bought them about a month ago and been using on a couple of trips of 1000 miles.... Much better than the stock tires, the ride of the camper is much more stable.

I have a 2016 "179" and one of the tires developed a slow leak that no one could find. One shop spent the weekend while I was visiting Niagara Falls looking for the leak, and later when I got home a local tire shop checked them for a few hours to no avail.  Although the Chinese tires only had about 3,000 miles on them I decided to upgrade to the Goodyear Endurance tires. I can't say I notice that the trailer is easier to tow, but I do tow with more confidence when I am at highway speeds.

The tire/wheel combos sold on etrailer are actually from Lionshead. Apparently Castle Rock is Lionshead's lower level tire brand and Westlake is their higher brand.  I read some negative posts on other forums regarding the Castle Rocks. The Westlakes seem to rate higher but were not available mounted on wheels through etrailer in the 225/75 R15 size which I wanted.

I would up ordering tire/wheel combos via Trailer Parts Superstore which come from Americana Tire and Wheel.  They are 225/75 R15 D rated Kenda Loadstars on 15x6 alloy wheels, both with 2540 lbs ratings.  Americana looks to be owned by Kenda. Price mounted and delivered was $318 for two. I couldn't find much in the way of negative comments on the Kenda Loadstars, for what that's worth.

Our RP-179 HRE came with Westlake tires. Pretty sure they are Chinese, but we have no complaints about them. The ones we have are an odd size that are not available on the open market. I think FR made a special purchase just for HRE R-pods.

We are currently in the beginning stages of our latest trip. We have Goodyear Endurance tires and like hem a lot so far(2500 miles). They defintely have a stiffer sidewall ,  a higher speed rating and a D weight range. I had Maxxis 8008’s before. There is noticably less bulge in he tire, less bounce and it feels more stable.  I have not noticed any issues so far.

The Goodyear Endurance are a fairly new tire and I have read several good reviews relating to them. They are made in USA and what I have read they have strong sidewalls and low rolling resistance and that they are a great improvement over their Marathon trailer tires. For these reasons I chose to buy them and will know in time how good they are, hoping for the best will not know until I try them.

Probably not. I like the fact etrailer runs their own reviews and takes comments. They have a warranty and roadside assistance. There are only so many ways to build a tire. If you were to purchase there is always an opportunity to switch to the Goodyear's or Carlisle's. After a trial. Personally I am not a Goodyear fan. etrailer has a good rep are far as selling quality products. The primary cost is in the alloy wheel.

Anybody know a good place to buy pre-mounted  trailer tires and wheels? The local mounting place here charges $25 a tire to mount and balance.   I want to go to 15 inch 5 lug alloy wheels with 225/75R15 load range D's on them. Got a neighbor who will buy my current 14 inch tires and wheels for his boat trailer.
