Hard to know for sure from the shot but if you park on level ground the ball height and wdh tension should be set so that the trailer is level and the distance from the Taco's front wheel wells to the ground is the same as it was before you put the trailer on the hitch. Do this with the trailer and Taco loaded for travel. You can use a couple pieces of blue painter's tape on the fenders above the front axle to make that measurement easier. To be sure the trailer is level just measure from the ground to the body front and rear on both sides.

+1 to mjlrpod

You may want to readjust your WHD to make it a little more level.

Maybe it's because the pic is sooooo large, but, your rig appears to be seriously nose down. Just my opinion

2013 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 with tow package and a v6. Going uphill keep the rpms down, lower gear if necessary...no temperature problems. We get 14 mpg doing 60-65...traveling all over the west every year.

2014 Tacoma V6, 4 wheel drive, towing package, Six speed manual transmission.  It pulls like a freight train.  The young fellow that got in it to hook up our new Rpod 180 at the dealer couldn't drive a clutch.LOL

I have the Nissan equivalent, The Frontier, and I tow a 195 with little issue when going into appalachian mountains steep long climbs, but who doesn't.

2017 SR5 V6 with Tow Package. It's a great match up. Been coast to coast twice now and north into the Canadian Rockies. Not the first of the hill, yet over without issues.

Keep your rpm's down, stay off cruise control, use your gearing and slow down on the highway and you'll see some 'great' gas mileage. Better yet, take the Byways and enjoy gas mileage and better scenery! LOL

Granny coolers....so many colors, patterns, and sizes to choose from...how do you decide?

Wink

And...I'm sorry that your little Tacoma can only tow the trailer at 12 mph....but on the other hand, while granny stays cool, you get to enjoy the scenery!
