That's the one I bought to replace my basic grade one that deteriorated. (It lasted 3 years in Florida sun). I'm happy with the new one.  I caught a sale at CA and think I only paid $150.

I called Classic and asked which cover offered the most UV protection for my 180.  they said the PermaPRO.  I found the best price through Walmart.

FYI the "lifetime warranty" cover is not their most expensive.  They have three and it is the mid-grade.

Thanks for the replies, everyone.  I'll go for the "lifetime" warranty with the understanding it will last a couple of years--LOL.

I bought this one and it only lasted 6 months in the Bakersfield sun. Waiting to see what they say about the lifetime warranty, I ask about what cover would hold up better. My Polypro lasted 18 months.

Classic now offers a cover with a lifetime warranty.  Its not much more than their basic one, especially if you manage to hit a sale. It's made from a lighter material and really nice.

I answered this on another forum. Classic is the best source, but I have had two in 5 years here in middle TN. They don't last forever.

Hey, Podsters:

I had a cover for our 178 for about two years or so, and then the sun turned it to junk.  It just kept ripping and coming apart as I would pull it on or off.  We get high sun and high temps here in the high desert.  90--100 deg. F. all summer.  Is there one brand or another that holds up to heat and UV better than the others.

This is the unit I did use:

Am I just out of luck and have to buy one every few years?

Thanks.

Scott
