Intertek is a certification company, like UL is. I dont think they are the manufacturer, you're most likely looking at the certification logo.

Any RV LPCO monitor should work fine.

Hi guys,

My unit seems to be an intertek 45-741.
I'm trying to find a replacement alarm unit and with no luck.

Is there another fully compatible modelthat I can get that anybody knows about?

Thank you!

So it's been 2 months and about 10 days of camping, and the alarm has not gone off again. The only thing I can figure is that it was triggered when we pulled into gas stations. Whatever it was, it has solved itself, evidently.

I just checked the monitor and the light is solid green. Pushing the Test button yields the alarm, pushing it again turns it off. So it is working fine and not end of life. We will keep tabs on it.

Your LP/CO detector should have a light. It should also have a test button. Push that. If it sounds, then it is working. If not, then take it off and see that the wires are connected. If they are, it is likely bad and will need to be replaced. I replaced ours with a flush mount when it started giving the end-of-life signal.

If yours is used, the prior owner may have cut the wires.

I was going to ask how to check to see if the CO detector is working.  Now I Know, Lysol test.  But...if anyone else has a better way to check please let me know.  Ours is from 2015 and has no lights on or anything.

Not just Lysol. Any product that has petroleum distillates in it can trigger a propane alarm. My wife even had it happen with non-aerosol floor cleaner.

We had that happen when we first bought our 179 it just ended up being bad, easy and quick to replace.

Let me start by admitting that I'm obviously a slow learner!
For the third time now I have sprayed Lysol in the trailer and realize that Lysol aerosol spray sets off the CO detector.  I've confirmed this three times (all about a year apart by the way, so it's my long term memory that's the problem! :-))

So, lesson learned, don't spray Lysol aerosol spray in the RPod!:-)
