We have been thinking of removing ours, and putting in one that will actually get signal, it means not only covering and closing one hole.. but making another..

Please note.. we aren't putting it very high on the mod list, since it was just last month we ever even tried to watch TV..

I wouldn't worry about leaks, just use a liberal amount of caulk like the factory did when it installed everything.

I've thought of taking mine off because it looks stupid and is useless but currently I'd rather not fool with the change of a leak afterwards.

If you're looking for increased gas mileage, I doubt the removal of the antenna will make much difference. The big contributor is the front cross sectional area of the pod. As someone said to me "it's like pulling a parachute."
That said, the antenna is a bit useless so removing it won't hurt if you don't create a leak.

Has anyone removed the television antenna from the front roof of the pod?  I am considering it after knowing the mileage I get with it up there.  Don't watch TV when camping, so it isn't needed.

Any help appreciated. Walt
