Welcome. My family was just through your area a week ago, including going to the National Naval Air Museum - which definitely is one of the best I've seen. If you make it to DC you'll want to see the main Air & Space collection on the mall, but don't miss the extended collection next to the Dulles Airport. That now includes one of the 3 shuttles (we were there the day they rolled it up to the museum and had it nose-to-nose with Enterprise). Out trip continues for another week, check out the link in my signature.

Greetings to all. My wife and I have just purchased a 2014 RPod 176T from Bama RV in Dothan, Alabama. We live in Panama City, Florida and will be making our weekend trips from there. We'll be making our first trip very soon to the Pensacola area to go to the Naval Air Museum and attend a local race track. We have two children who have decided that the bunk beds are awesome. Our tow vehicle is a Wrangler XL 4-door. I've installed a weight distributing hitch to ease things a bit for our Jeep. I have a sway control system, but have found that the pod tows quite nicely without it.
My wife and I have been campers for many years. I've previously owned an excellent Toyota pick-up based Class C motorhome, but we've been heavily engaged with the Cub Scouts for several years and that's a "tent only" experience. Glad to be back in a camper again. Our future plans include a three week trip to Yellowstone next summer, a place I haven't been back to since I was a kid. Our children are at just the right age to appreciate the experience. However our first big adventure in the pod will be a trip to Disney's Fort Wilderness in August (glad we have air con). We've decided to name the rig the "Arrrrr Pod" as we are also avid sailors and pirates are cool (just ask my son). Hope to see some of you on the road. As soon as I figure out the photo upload procedure I'll add some pictures.
