The antifreeze is non toxic for the most part so as has allready been said flush it out and your good. It tates bad.

you're fine.  no harm no issues there.

the only reason water heaters get bypassed is to save from having to use so many gallons of antifreeze that you'd have to fill the hot tank first in order to then have it to the hot water lines.

you're good to go.

When I winterized the water system some antifreeze got into the hot water tank. I guess one of the valves either leaks by or it was not totally closed.
I discovered this when I pulled the anode rod for inspection. It was only a cup or two that came out. I flushed the tank after that. Does anyone know if the antifreeze could have harmed any thing ??
