Something to remember, as you increase the outside diameter of your tires you decrease the mechanical advantage of your brakes.  This may require increasing the "gain" on your brake controller to maintain your present stopping distances.  Also, as you increase the tire size, you increase the "unspring" weight of your 'pod, affecting both ride (and wheel control) and further increasing braking distances.  The effect of either by itself may be small, but add both and it could be significant.

No. I only know of a few podders who have switched to larger wheels and tires than those on the pod when delivered. West coast pods, "HRE", come with LT 15's standard.. just because.

There is a better selection of trailer tires available at the 15" size, but lots at 14" also. The biggest issue would be if you have decided you need "D" rated tires, only 2 or 3 in 14".. But "C"'s get it done just fine. Lot's of different D rated tires at 15".

I would like to know if it is important to switch wheels and tires to 15 inch. I've seen several indications that this done.
