On our 171, my wife found some cheap flexible square laundry baskets for about $4 each which we stow under the dinette seats. We also have plenty of space in our Honda Ridgeline tow vehicle in the trunk under the bed, the bed of the truck, and the rear seat area.

Ditto. On our 4-week trips we take enough to last 2 weeks (some of that was stored in the TV when we had the pod, which was later replaced by a laundry basket with dirty clothes), but often do laundry in half that time if we happen to be at a commercial campground with laundry facilities. Having the extra clothes just gives us flexibility in case of bad timing or broken machines, etc.
Much like taking some cold-weather clothes on a summer trip and then encountering 30 degree wind chills at the top of a mountain or snow overnight in Yellowstone. Plan for all possibilities.

What do you consider an extended trip? we have done 10 days on one carry-on bag each. Do laundry once a week if staying out longer than that one bag can hold... If I had some need to carry 30 different outfits, I suspect I would use the truck to carry another bag. But it's no big deal to laundry once a week.. we do it that way at home..

We are fairly new to camping and have used our Rpod once. What hints do you have for storing clothes and towels for extended trips? We have a 172 with bunks and will most likely use the bunks; however, what to do when it is time to sleep :D
