Try a sprinkler/iriigation store.  They still use the pex clamp tool, and it doesn't cost much - I can't remember but it was a few months ago.

Thanks Podding Patti.
I dropped off my Pod to get winterized this morning and mentioned the leak to them. Since I had only taken my Pod out on 1 voyage so far (even though it's used, 2011) they are going to investigate and fix the hose for me for free! I'm sure they would have discovered the leak as they were running antifreeze through everything anyway, but I'm glad that it will all be done with the winterization. If it leaks again in March when I start using the water again, it will have a maintenance warranty. I guess there are some pros to buying a used Pod from a dealership rather than a private party!

Hello, Dogsintow

Sheesh!  What an ordeal that was to fix! Once I got my hands on the correct tool, no more leaks!
After going to 2 Camping Worlds (they told me no one uses pex clamps anymore...my pod is only 2 years old), Home Depot, an RV garage, and 2 other hardware stores....no help.
Home Depot recommended the PEX crimp tool so I rented that for a day but that was not the correct tool!  I returned it only to find they they do not sell or even rent the 'cinch' tool.  I could not find the one Furpod showed me on his reply, at any hardware store in these parts.
FINALLY, I went to Hills Flat Lumber in Grass Valley and rented the PEX CINCH tool  (to purchase it would cost $160.00)!!
The pex clamps on both hoses just needed tightening and the tool was easy to use.
So remember, get (rent) the pex CINCH tool and not the CRIMP tool.
So far, I am dry.
At some point I would like to replace the hoses with pex pipe.
I hope this helps!

I'm glad you posted this Podding Patti!
I just took my 177 on its maiden voyage. I hooked it up to the city water and turned on the kitchen sink. I soon found a puddle on the floor. I traced the leak to just above the clamps where the hose meets the threads (but the threads aren't leaking). The water the drips down the hose and ends up on the floor. Is this the same thing you're experiencing?
Anyone know if this is a common problem and fixing the clamp is the solution. I'm hoping this is a DIY job.  I wish I had found the leak when I bought the Pod (used) so it could have been fixed, but sadly I discovered it on the maiden voyage. The good news was that I was able to go without sink water for 3 days and all was well. I just really don't want to worry about leaks!
thanks all for your help!

It does appear they are leaking by the clamps and not the fitting.  I am wondering if there's a special tool for tightening the clamp.
Perhaps I, already, need new hoses?    Cry
Thanks for your replies   Smile

They are NPT threads, no tape needed. Are you sure they are leaking at the threads, and not at the PEX clamps?

Try teflon tape if you haven't already.

Please help!

Hello, fellow Pod owners.
I have 2 leaky hoses - the hot and cold water hoses under the kitchen sink.
All I did was remove them to check for debris, due to low pressure, and now they leak.
When the cold one started to leak I thought it might be missing a washer or gasket so I took the hot hose off and found no washer, etc. so I assume nothing is missing.
I screwed them back on just the way they came off (seems pretty simple) and no matter how tight I have them, they still drip water.
I appreciate any suggestions.
-Patti
