The mattress will fit but the wall angles in and doesn't give you much wiggle room if your on the aft side of the bed.  You lay Width wise in the trailer rather then lenght wise.  If you devise a way to secure the folded tent up out of the way you'd gain a few more inches.  We had to close ours up in the middle of the night because high winds (50mph+) was so loud we couldn't sleep.  It was just my wife and I at the time so she slept on the bottom bunk and I slept on the table.

Does anyone with a 176t know whether the mattress can be fully extended over the table while it's closed up? Ours is at the storage site or I'd check. We have a trip coming up and it might be on the colder side. Just wondering if we'll be able to sleep completely enclosed or if I should buy a heated mattress pad.

Thanks!
