We have the same Pro Series set up on our Explorer.  Have used this since spring 2011 and wouldn't go anywhere towing the pod w/o it.  Works great even when encountering strong cross-winds in excess of 20 mph.

I installed the Pro Series friction sway control from E-trailer ($38).  You also need to purchase a bracket which mounts under your existing ball, to which you will mount the little ball that the sway control arm rides on.  They run about $30.

Installation was simple.  Drill a few holes in the tongue of the trailer to mount a bracket with a ball on it, and then remove the ball from your ball mount, place the other bracket under it, and reinstall the ball.  Less than an hour of work.

I have one.  For the small cost (<$100) and easy installation, I think it's worth it.  Lots of Podders have weight-distributing hitches that include anti-sway, and swear by them.  I may end up going that route some day.

I am fairly new to the Rpod forum and we have owned our 2014 171 since 10/15 and have 2 previous trips with no issues
I am towing with a Toyota Tacoma Prerunner V6 and it pulls very well. We did have quite a bit of sway last weekend coming back from St Augustine Fl to Orlando though it was windy. I am considering installing a sway bar and would like to get input from the other forum members.
Thanks!
