They are difficult to remove and you think they will snap but mine hasn't yet. I have two in my camper and with one of them I removed the screen and filed down the tabs a little that hold it in place. It seems to come out a little easier now. It's not a silly question!

Push from opposing sides while pulling down. It takes some umph! It won't break.

My wife deals with that, she advised that you need to pull the tab while simultaneously assisting on the opposite side with your other hand to help guide it down. Works for her, she says it is scary cause you dont want to break it. It is a fair amount of pressure.

I really try to find an existing post before creating a new one, honest.
But unfortunately I can't find a reference to this silly question. There's a screen/filter on the interior of the fantastic fan in my 178. It has a small tab which appears to aid in removal. But it doesn't want to snap off with reasonable pressure. I don't want to break anything by forcing it. Is there a tab or something I'm overlooking or do I just need to pull the tab hard? Thanks. |
