I'll go you one better. It isn't aluminum, but it is compact and fairly light. It should also work quite well since it is pretty low, yet has a 2000 lb capacity. I purchased one with a different name, but the same design. I saw one with a case at my local Wal-Mart for a little more. I wish I had seen it, as the case would have been nice for carrying it when not needed.

Vann,

You convinced me a while back to get a floor jack. Although I've traveled tens of thousands of miles without thinking my 4Runner bottle jack would be fine with a flat, I never considered raising the pod with a flat.

So I bought and now carry -- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BG6IJA0/

Haven't had to use it, but do feel better having it! Thanks!!

There have been several posts asking about jacks and how to jack up the rpod for wheel bearing service, tire changes or other maintenance.

We had a blowout while on a trip. We quickly discovered that our jack was too tall to fit under the axle when the tire was flat.I  posted that I purchased a floor jack from Harbor Freight .

I have used it several times for maintenance on the r pod and also on my utility trailer. It works well and is easy to handle. It is very short(3.5" if I remember correctly) and weighs about 35 pounds.

I 'm telling you all of this because I just got a flyer from Harbor Freight that shows this jack is now on sale. It was $119 and now is $59.99.  It is a Pittsburgh brand Rapid Pump 1.5 ton Aluminum Racing Jack.

I have no affiliation with Harbor Freight. Just a satisfied customer(most of the time) . But, like most vendors, some of their materials are not the best quality. You must check them out and decide for yourself.  I've had both good and bad products.
I think this jack is good
