We are also proud 171 owners.  Just have a good time and enjoy yourselves.  Camping is not a time to stress out.  Precool the reefer as JGM_BC recommends and fill it with soft drinks and possibly cool the tonic for the gin, later.  Don't forget the limes.  Safe Travels.

I always connect my water hose, to ensure the WH has water in it before I connect power.  I don't want to have to change heater elements.

We just picked our 180 up and are doing our first trip this weekend. I've had mine plugged in since Weds to get the fridge nice and cold before turning on the propane once we start travelling.

Just plug it into the plug on the RPod first and make sure that it's nice and secure then plug it into the house receptacle.
