You should be able to take it back to the dealer under warranty repair.

When I got my 179, the door latched normally, but it wasn't until my first trip did I discover that the deadbolt wouldn't lock (jamb/lock were misaligned).   I had to lock the door from the outside and then close the door (and make sure I had a spare set of keys in the truck for when I locked myself out). Smile

I was able to take it back and have this corrected by the dealer under warranty.

JHoffman, the latch plates are not adjustable. I already looked at that, like adjusting a strike plate on a home door. The plate is screwed into the door frame without slots to adjust. I may have to make slots in the strike plate with a dremel tool.

I had to adjust the latch plates for both my main door and the screen door, it sounds like yours are set a little too tight, loosen the screws and move the latch plates outboard a little bit at a time until the door latches easily but still makes a good seal.

I have to slam the door to get the catches to engage, does anyone else have this issue?
