I'm sorry. My comment in my post above was meant to be for the PaHaQue slider topper (similar thread started about the same time.)

I really like the VISOR (see my thumbnail pic) easy to install and works great!

The first time I used ours, one of the fiberglass rod segments broke from only moderate winds. Of course, Pahaque won't replace it under warranty, but they did offer to sell me only the segment that needs replacing and instructions on how to do it. I need to get back out to our 179 and measure the length of the broken segment so I can order the replacement.

We have one on a 2014 178. Have used it 3 times and really like. Especially like how the poles fit in the keeder rail "gizmo" so they aren't on the ground. So simple to put up and down. I do it by myself! Had it up a couple of weeks ago while at Kentucky Horse Park when a really hard rain came thru. Did a great job!

I had one for my 177. I honestly avoid using it. It seems simple to put on, but I had to bring a stepladder, get up there and wiggle it into the smaller keder rail, manage all of the cords and then I dumped water on myself removing it after a rain. It is also a hassle to keep clean and dry before storing. Just my two cents.

I don't have one but I'm very curious how it performs and looks on the 179. I was close to buying one until the photos of the new 2017 awnings appeared. Now I'm debating between the two. Your experience may help me decide.

Does anyone have a PaHaQue Visor for a 179? I just ordered one a few minutes ago for the times I can't use the dome. I would love to hear from anyone with any experience with the visor.
