Interesting.  First I'd heard.  Why?  And I stand corrected.  Thanks.

That said, there is no doubt the electric side is/was on.

I don't mean to be critical, but this is one of my minor pet peeves.  There are only 2 low point drains on the trailer.  Low point drains let all of the water out of the plumbing system in a house or trailer, assuming you know what you're doing.  There is one on Pods for the hot water lines and one for the cold water lines.

There is only one other drain under the trailer, at least on mine.  It's the drain for the potable water tank.  It is, of course, at the low point of the tank, but it's just a tank drain.  It doesn't drain anything but the tank.  You should drain it too, and for practical purposes it doesn't matter what you call it, but "low point drain" is a term of art that doesn't really cover the potable tank drain.

And there are two other drains: the gate valve drains for the black and grey tanks.  They should be drained as well.

Charlie is probably right about the electric element being on in you pod.  I can't think of any other reason to have hot water in your lines after weeks of not using the pod.  The electricity MUST be cut off before you drain the hot water heater (by taking out the anode rod).  You'll burn it up quick if it's on with no water in the water heater.  AND you need to flip the bypass valves on the water heater, at least if you plan on pumping antifreeze in the lines.

If you can find the water heater on the outside of the pod, it's in the same place on the inside, of course.  You get at it, to change the bypass valves, by taking off the panel in front of it (on the inside) or by taking the panel off over it, under the bed or seat, whatever is on top of it in a 179.

The low point drains might eventually get most of the water out of the water heater tank but they may not.  If you don't want it to freeze and break you should drain it by taking out the anode rod.

The water in the HWH can stay warm for several days. However, your Pod was plugged in. The electric side of the WH will come on and maintain HW as long as the Pod is plugged in UNLESS you turn it off at the circuit breaker panel or turn off the small black switch behind the outside access panel on the heater. The switch on the wall only controls the gas side.
