Just wanted to give a huge thank you to all the people who share their knowledge on this forum. You really help a newbie like me get started safely. Thanks especially to Techntrek for explaining the electrical dangers inherent in hooking up to campground power. As per his advice, I bough RV Electrical Safety, by J Michael Sokol. It was the best explanation I have seen about RV electrical power. On the advice of that book, yesterday I installed a Progressive Industries EMS-HW30C surge protector. Thanks to jato for his advice on that, and to StephenH for his counsel on other electrical issues. Because of this great group, I will be a safer camper. Thanks to all. Because of all of you, the RPOD Owners Forum is required reading almost every day!
