Floor sag part II

Just noticed the same on my 2013 178. It's not from weather or use. Rod gets out of the house only 4 or 5 times a year. I can see a seam on the underside where it looks like 2 edges of the carbon fiber-like material join. They have clearly separated and there is delamination.

I guess my 170 lbs are too much for the little guy to support. At any rate, the best solution seems to be for me to seal the seam and have a welder mount a support beam across the trouble area. It's a shame how much weight I've had to add to this lightweight trailer to simply make it functional.

The sag you are feeling and seeing is a breakdown/compression of the foam center core of the floor construction. Most put down a good quality laminate floor OVER the existing flooring.

The Pods floor is a torsion box construction of luan top and bottom, with an aluminum box frame, with styrofoam insulation in the voids, then the whole assembly pressure glued together. It's light, strong and inexpensive. BUT... under heavy load or usage, or if there is damage from water, etc, to one of the luan layers, it can sag or deform between the "joists".

I am not sure that floor is made like a pod floor. At all.

I posted awhile ago about a soft area in our floor right in front of the kitchen area in our 2015 R-pod 176-T.

We battled FR over this. They initially said they would fix it. They ordered our local camping world to service it. Once Camping World took it apart to diagnose the floor, FR went 180 and said there is nothing they can do and they aren't going to cover it. The CW people also said it might have been a slow water leak but there wasn't any showing up now.

So now its on us.

I have been trying to research ways to fix this and I ran across something called "floor non expanding glue kit"

Does anyone have any thoughts or possible fixes for this? Is this a bad idea or would it work on the pod.

Thanks in advance. We love the camper but are disappointed about this problem as it might get worse over time.
