Please add a review of the dealer when this is done. I hope the dealer resolves this with Forest River to your satisfaction.

We took a picture of the gap and sent to our dealer.

Our unit was parked in their service garage for the walk through.  We had a couple of lights on in the trailer. When we got home and parked the trailer in the drive way with the sun shining in we found very large (like 12-18 inches each)  scuffs, scratches on two of the walls plus about a 1/8" to gouges in the wall paper near the sofa.

We will have a review for our dealer.  We sure learned a lot on this transaction.

+1

I think it would be something to take to the dealer for warranty repair. I was only addressing possibility of leakage. Unfortunately, it is hard to catch everything on the walk-through.

1/2 inch gap filled with caulk? Really? I'd like to see a picture of that. It would be totally unaccceptable to me. Just saying.

Hello and welcome!

This is the one behind the toilet on the left side as you are facing it if I understand correctly. If so, it may be a lack of attention to detail, but if the silicone is well sealed, then it should not leak. It could have been finished better though.

Since yours is a 2017, does it have the shower curtain that pulls around like our 2016 does? If so, that is another reason that you probably won't find any leaks there. When you are using the shower, the curtain will be hanging in front of that corner and will protect it. The wall opposite the door and the wall with the sink and shower head are the ones that will get wet. Make sure any caulking there is in good shape and you should be okay.

Just picked up our 179 and have been busy today putting all of our stuff into it.

One thing we noticed in the wet bath is that one corner (left corner to the left of the toilet) has a half inch gap between the two walls.  The gap is filled in with silicon caulk.  The other two corners are flush.

Is this normal?  This seems like a leak waiting to happen.

Thanks!
