That might depend on the TV. If the TV ran the trailer as a separate circuit, the TV/TT lights could be completely independent from each other.

Led's are different in that they have a small circuit board and there may be an issue with the board, connections, or the wiring to the fixture. These lights are not like the old school lights that had a bulb with 2 elements, 1 for running lights and 1 for turn/stop. I believe When the running lights are on the tail ight is full on, and when the blinkers or stops are applied it doubles in brightness. (now i have to go check it). 1st test for me would be to check the voltage at the light with the blinks on.

Thanks for all the feedback. I did check the wiring to the light and it all looks secure. I need to check the voltage when I get home. (Camping now and don't have a meter on me). Can the light itself be bad even though the running lights are working?

In my 180 I have access to the back of the tail lights in the rear storage compartment and through the bath cabinet. If you can get to it, all the wires are just behind the lights, sounds like a bad wire crimp to the light.(the installers work fast) Check them and test them for power with the blinker on. Could also be a bad light.

Turn and stop is a single wire, tail lights is a single wire. Normally the GREEN wire is right turn/stop, yellow is left turn/stop and brown is taillights, to both sides. Can do voltage or continuity checks, my guess is a wiring issue. Make sure everything is working on TV, that would isolate to TT. The marker lights will be on the taillight wire. BLUF is there is only one wire that operates brake/turn on each side. Good luck.

there has to be a wire that is loose. It takes two sides to run the lights.

Once again the bulbs work fine with the running lights. They are the same bulbs. There are not 2 sets of bulbs. These are LED's so there are many tiny bulbs. They all work fine when the running lights are on but do not work with the brake light or blinker. The bulbs can not be replaced like a non LED light. The entire light assembly would have to be replaced so its not just a simple check of the bulb.

LEDs go bad. And aren't there two bulbs? If you've checked every thing else, check the bulbs. Real simple.

yes, they are all leds. They work with the running lights just not tail light or blinker.
