Going to order new Pod 176 in a few weeks. Trying to decide if I should get it with or without the wet/bath sink. Need some input about the pros and concepts.

I never had the bathroom sink and I've never missed it.  If you hang around here for a while you'll see that some people who have one take it out.  I'm sure it's manageable but it seems to me that the shower is small enough without putting a sink in it.  The kitchen sink is closer to the shower than a lot of regular bathroom sinks anyway!

Although we hardly ever use it for its intended purpose we have decided to keep it as it is a great place to keep shaver, cream, shampoo, soap in while showering.

We use the one in our 179. My wife has a thing about brushing teeth and washing hands after using the toilet at the kitchen sink. What bugs me most about the sink is not the sink, but the faucet. It seems like there should have been a way to mount it closer to the corner so that the water hits the wider part of the sink instead of hitting so close to the edge that it can't avoid splashing over. I did move mine over as far as I could without having holes show. It helped some, but I really would have liked to move it over further.

I removed the sink in our 177.  Took up too much room and the kitchen sink is right across from the door.

I can give details on how I did it if anyone wants to know.  Send me a PM.

I agree 100%. We keep a rug on the floor to keep dirt from being tracked onto the floor of the wet bath and I have to deflect the water toward the wider part of the sink when I wash my hands in it. Even then, some invariably splashes onto the rug. I usually end up using the kitchen sink.

We put a little sink fashioned from a stainless steel funnel in our 2009 172.  It's relatively small, has a plexiglass base that I made and drains onto the floor where we have a wood shower mat from Cost Plus to keep your feet off the floor.  I added a shower head holder to hold the shower spray over the sink.  It works great.

My wife didn't like the aesthetics of washing hands after using the toilet and brushing teeth in the galley sink for the yuck factor.  Also, when using the galley sink for washing hands and brushing teeth, water splashes onto the floor even when i try to be really careful, so now that is eliminated.  And it doesn't get in the way of the use of the shower.

I want to thank everyone for their opinions. I think I’m going to order it without the sink. That way, I don’t have to plug holes.  If I want to later, I can find something to put in the corner that is not so big.
