Owners manual does not address keeping the WIFI available. Think of it this. You get out of your vehicle. Lock the doors. Lights go off. So does the WIFI. Trucks electrical power shuts off. How can I keep the power to the whatever that powers the WIFI. That is why I said the aux on the egnition keep the power to the WIFI, radio, etc.

Why not use your phone data that you are already paying for, and just set it to be a hot spot?

Yeah, I use my phone as a mobile hot spot, but if your truck gives you unlimited data for $20, that's a good deal.  Depending on the speed they provide.

Leave the truck key in the on position (but not running), use another set of keys to lock the door.

Google might have a better idea.

This question could be answered easier in a forum related to your vehicle. I have an f150 and the f150forum.net has answered any question you can think of relating to the truck.

I Googled it just to see if I could make a constructive comment. I know my wife elected to not pay the 20 or 200 for a years use, I'm sure reason it stops when truck is not powered is to conserve batt, but honestly not sure. Lot of comments on service and reviews on the interweb. Nothing that addresses your issue. I personally don't use mine, but certainly doesn't make you wrong. If you do find some answers let me know I would be interested.

I can't speak for GlueGuy, but I sure thought he was joking...

Other comments about looking elsewhere for the answer to your question are spot on.  Certainly no harm in asking here but this, obviously, isn't a forum on F150s or WiFi connectivity.

You may be able to do what I did with one of the accessory outlets in our Highlander: use a fuse tap and wire the Wifi circuit into an always-on fuse socket.
