If you just drink the vodka, gin, tequila, or whatever, you won't really care how cold it gets.

For myself, apart from a really good tequila anejo, arguardiente is also a really good option. 🇨🇴

OMG, this was a semi serious question and I expected some fun answers but my expectations were exceeded, this was a funny post to read through. Thanks to everyone who replied with wisdom, and to those who made it funny. I can't find a cheap enough vodka, gin, or Everclear to dose my fresh tank but I'm going to risk it in the name of science. We shouldn't see 25°F for an extended period so I expect no freeze damage. There has to be some way to safeguard in colder weather, I hate to quit camping just because it is cold, at some point I'll winterize and camp using pits and trees. Perhaps I'll drink the vodka myself and the tossing and turning will keep the holding tanks moving so they can't freeze.
Any great ideas, or comments, keep them coming. This was fun and made my day. Best forum ever. |

Carry water in a separate water carrier that you can keep in the heated space. Carry RV antifreeze to use to flush #2. It isn't needed for #1, but a little RV antifreeze to help keep the flush valve wet is good. Minimal use of gray water tank and some added RV antifreeze will protect that. Use of alternate clean-up materials such as the large wipes like those used in hospitals for clean-ups is one way to avoid requiring lots of water for personal clean-up. This is what we did on our last winter cross-country trip.
For the fun side: I should think you might want to add some lemon or lime juice to the tank if you go the alcohol route for flavor. |

The lemon or lime juice is a good idea. It is kind of hard to stuff lime wedges into the fresh water tank. Trying to get them out is even harder.

They would for sure get caught in the aerator at the sink. |

There ya go. Skip the vodka, use gin. Then tonic water and lime juice. Drive at least 15 miles to shake (not stir). Set up camp, and enjoy cocktails from the kitchen tap.

An alternate recipe: 5 bottles of tequila, 2 bottles of Contreau, juice of 1 dozen limes, 3 lbs. crushed ice (to clean the capacity sensors, of course) and 1 cup of coarse sea salt at the sink. Same driving requirement as GlueGuy's recipe, but a different flavor.
